Winnipeg Harvest – We Need Help! We are in need of volunteers! The Winnipeg Harvest truck arrives between 8:30-9:30am. We need people to help unload. We also need people to count out bulk vegetables and fruit into 20 client bags. We sort all food items into 20 plastic totes. When our clients arrive we pack up their supplies. There are families with 1-3 children, single moms and their children. The other clients are single men and women. The food bank dates are: Feb 6th & 27th, Mar 5th & 19th, Apr 2nd, 16th & 30th, May 14th & 28th, Jun 11th & 25th. If you can help or need additional information please call Joyce Smyth at 669-2085.

“Snow Night” February 23rd to February 24th a.m. (Safe Night off Winnipeg Streets). A special pyjama party free from violence , harm, hunger, and exploitation for Women and Transgendered Sex Trade Workers. Donations are required to provide a safe place to sleep, food, resources, games, crafts, make-up, hairstyling, gift bags, door prizes. Donations of only NEW items could be: blankets, pillows, 2 piece pj sets, cozy slippers, socks, underwear, manicure/make-up supplies, nailpolish, headbands, hair clips, combs, brushes, mitts, hats, scarves, snacks, door prizes and money to purchase supplies. For volunteer opportunities please call Dianne Bussey @ 949-2100. For donations please place them in the blue basket in the kitchen. The items will be delivered on February 15th.
