Advent Music The choir has begun practicing for Christmas. If you would like to join us for this seasonal music, choir practices are Thursday evenings at 7pm.

White Gift Sunday will be on November 25th. Immanuel supports a variety of Winnipeg projects by donations of money (use your offering envelope marked “White Gift”), food, children’s gifts, baby supplies. Please bring these on November 25th as you are able.

Pre-Advent Dinner will take place on Saturday, December 1st from 5-7pm. Mark your calendars!

“JUST” Christmas, a Bazaar with a difference. Five United Churches in our area are again organizing the 5th annual “Fair Trade Global Market” where local vendors sell goods to support local and global concerns. This year it will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 2-5pm at John Black Memorial United Church. Any questions or suggestions please call Muriel at 663-2504.

Cookies for “Just” Christmas Event All the United Church congregations in this area planning this event have been asked to bring 15 dozen cookies for tea/coffee time. If you can help by donating some cookies that would be much appreciated. Please see sign up sheet in the AMEN corner. Please bring the cookies to Worship on December 2nd and they will be delivered to John Black.

Our Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank needs larger grocery bags! At the moment we do not require bread wrappers or small bags. We will let you know when we do. We also need egg cartons. We appreciate all the support from the congregation. ~Joyce Smyth

Sing for Peace The Project Peacemakers concert on November 11th had to be postponed due to the weather. If you had tickets please save them as they are planning to reschedule in the new year.

LITE’s 16th Annual Wild Blueberry Pancake Breakfast will be held on Friday, November 23rd at the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre, 45 Robinson (at Dufferin). Come & Go 7-10am. Tickets are $15, children ages 6-12 are $5 and children under 6 are free. Tickets are available by calling the LITE office at 204-942-8578 or at the door.
