Choir practices take place on Thursdays at 7pm. If you would like to participate in the choir you are most welcome.

Retirees Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from noon to 2pm. Entertainment will be the Kitchen Band from Lac du Bonnet. Please see sign up sheet in the Amen corner.

Golspie Club will take place this Thursday, September 26th at 1:00pm. All seniors are welcome to join us for carpet bowling and tea.

This is the Tenth Anniversary of Immanuel’s serving as a Winnipeg Harvest site! In order to celebrate the past ten years of receiving, giving and learning in the local community, the Immanuel Harvest group will be sharing in worship leadership at our regular 11:00 time on Sunday, October 6, 2013. They invite you, as you are able, to bring a tin for the bin and come celebrate with them. October 6th also is Worldwide Communion Sunday, so we will gather at the communion table to break bread together and look to the day when all people everywhere will have enough food to eat.

I’m Planning a Study on Hal Taussig’s book A New New Testament: A Bible for the Twenty-First Century, on Tuesday evenings beginning in mid-October. This will be an indepth study that requires reading at home between gatherings. If you are interested in participating, please sign up on the sheet in the Amen Corner. The cost of the book is about $40. Please speak to me privately if the cost would prohibit your participation. Nancy

Second Fridays at the Centre for Christian Studies

“Second Fridays” is a free presentation and discussion series sponsored by the Centre for Christian Studies, held at noon-hour at CCS on the second Friday of each month. Structured a bit like the “Ted Talks”, Second Fridays features a brief story/idea/explanation/inspiration from a guest speaker followed by group discussion. The theme for this fall is “Faith and the Arts”. Everyone welcome. Bring your lunch and your curiosity. Jubilee Fund Annual Charity Auction Art & Collectibles will take place Monday, September 23rd at 6pm, with the live auction at 7pm at Canad Inns Polo Park, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue.
