a welcoming, affirming, justice-seeking congregation

A warm Immanuel welcome to Lucille Curtis, who recently has moved to this area and has transferred her membership from Kirkfield Park United Church. Lucille’s name has been placed on our Historic Roll, and we will extend the right hand of fellowship to her at a future service. Lucille, we’re glad we’ve found one another. You are most welcome among us here.

Income Tax Receipts As of January 29, the 2013 income tax receipts have been distributed and/or mailed out. Creating a new Stewardship Team: Immanuel is in the process of naming 2-3 people to form a Stewardship team which will begin its work in March. We are asking you, the congregation, to participate by generating names of people you believe have the gifts, who should be invited to discern if this work is something they are called to do at this time. Please put up to 4 names on the small, coloured sheet of paper you have been given this morning and place it in the box in the AMEN corner. Alternately you can email: nanette, with names you would recommend to this process.

A New New Testament: We will meet on February 11th at 6:30. Participants are asked to read “The Gospel of Truth” and “The Gospel of Mary,” together with their respective introductions.

Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba Inc. (SAM) is having their annual Valentine Tea on Saturday, February 15th from 1-3pm at Immanuel. All are welcome.

Newsletter Submissions for the upcoming newsletter are Tuesday, March 11th. Please email iuchurch@mymts.net or see Sharon in the office.
