a welcoming, affirming, justice-seeking congregation

This Morning we will focus our worship on a theme of The Hope of Reconciliation. In recognition of the vital importance of the Truth and Reconciliation process to the well-being of all of us who live in this land, and to the well-being of future generations, we will begin an exploration of the meaning of reconciliation in our lives, not only as people of faith, but as people of faith in a denomination that participated in running Indian Residential Schools for seven generations of First Nations children. Praying for strength and integrity of heart, we take this small step this morning. We also recognize that our community of faith is made up of both First Nations persons and settlers, and humbly name this reality as gift and blessing. May the Creator be with us on our journey.

Tuesday Morning Study Group will be meeting during the summer on Tuesday mornings at 10am here at the church starting July 7th. All are welcome.

Summer Sundays–During the month of July, and on the August long weekend, no Sunday worship services will be held at Immanuel. On August 9, 16, 23 and 30, an informal service of worship will take place at 10:00 in the morning. Please note this change in service time for the summer only, and plan to come and bring with you any guests who may be visiting with you. On September 6, we will revert to our usual 11:00 a.m. worship time.

Winnipeg Organ Festival – The Royal Canadian College of Organists – Winnipeg Centre is organizing an exciting and dynamic summer festival from July 4-9, 2015 featuring a number of Winnipeg’s finest pipe organs. Of course there will be several solo organ recitals as well.

A Festival Pass (five evening concerts) is being offered at an amazing $80.00 ($60.00 for students).

You can order your Festival Pass (single tickets are available as well) by calling Karen at 204-453-6962 or by email at wpgorganfest. For all the details of the Festival go to www.winnipegorganfestival.ca
