Our Choir Microphones and Stands seem to have been misplaced. If you have an idea where they might be, please let Ron or Eileen Metcalfe or Glen Smyth know. They’re needed both for the choir and the play. Thank you!

Syrian Refugees Several people have asked how they can help as a volunteer or with donations to the many efforts being planned in Manitoba towards the resettlement of an expected 1,500 to 2,000 (and ongoing) refugees from the Syrian crisis.

There is now a provincial web portal which will be populated over the next few days with information and resources related to the resettlement.

It also has a phone number to the Red Cross Call Centre, which is coordinating offers of volunteer time and donations for groups here in Manitoba. They have an inventory of the organizations seeking help and will be able to direct callers to the appropriate one. The organizations are still developing their sense of what will be needed, so this list of opportunities will grow over the coming weeks. Please pass this number on to anyone who is interested.

Donations/Volunteer Offers (coordinated by Canadian Red Cross): 1-888-662-3211

Thanks Immanuel United Church for all your help. All donations are greatly appreciated. So from the women of the Wednesday Women Circle we would like to extend our Christmas greeting. May the Spirit of Christmas be upon all of you and your families, May the Spirit be with you all year round and continue to shine through you. We wish you and your families the very best in the New Year and a joyous Christmas.

With God’S Blessings from our families at Northend Stella Women’s Circle and Community. GOD Bless.
