Immanuel United seeks to be a welcoming place to gather together for fellowship and worship, Sundays at 10:45 am. We meet at John Black United Church every second Sunday. We are an “affirming congregation” that publicly declare their commitment to inclusion and justice for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Worship services are currently held in person and online via Zoom. Click here to find information about joining Immanuel worship online.
Prayer helps to centre our hearts and minds to address the personal and global concerns each has in these challenging times.
Inclusion and diversity of all individuals is highly valued in Immanuel United. Our children are given space to gather at a table in the sanctuary with the rest of the congregation and can do craft and reading activities during worship.
Individuals share in reading scriptures, greeting before worship, offering hospitality following the service, and find various other ways to participate in fellowship each Sunday.
The Sacrament of Communion is usually offered the first Sunday of each month and the table is open to all, whether you belong to this church, another church or no church at all.
Music plays a very important role uniting and lifting our spirits. Members of our devoted, four part harmony, choir and our skilled accompanist are an integral part of the Immanuel worship experience.
